Michael Jackson’s forgotten music out in November

Songs that didn’t make the cut on Michael Jackson albums while he was alive and some forgotten recordings left behind on computer hard drives will be on an album released this fall, sources familiar with the project say.

Jackie Jackson, one of the singer’s older brothers, has been working in a studio to help prepare the album, which will include 10 previously unheard songs, according to Jackson estate spokesman Jim Bates.

Jackson’s estate and Sony Music announced in March that his next album of unreleased music will go on sale in November.

Music producer Rodney Jerkins, who co-produced Jackson’s 2001 album “Invincible,” has been working with Sony to put together the new album, a source familiar with the project said. The source asked not to be identified because he was not authorized by the record label to disclose details.

John McClain, one of the two men named in Jackson’s will to be executors of his estate, is also working on the album with Jackie Jackson, Bates said. McClain owns a recording studio in Hollywood.

Jackson was known to rent out Los Angeles recording studios for weeks at a time for creative sessions, sometimes alone and sometimes with other well-known artists.

A producer told CNN that he was surprised to find a large cache of forgotten Michael Jackson music files stored on a hard drive at a Hollywood studio in the months after Jackson’s June 25, 2009, death.

When he turned the recording device on to start a session, he heard Jackson singing “Hot Fun in the Summertime.” The 1969 hit by Sly & the Family Stone is part of an extensive music catalogue that Jackson bought.

The producer said he made a backup copy of the 40 gigabytes of Jackson music and turned it over to one of the Jackson estate administrators. He asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.

Another computer hard drive with music was found in Jackson’s rented mansion in the days after his death, Bates said. A Jackson family member later handed the hard drive over to the estate administrators, he said.

It was not clear if any of that music will be included in the upcoming project, but Sony’s Columbia Records has a contract with Jackson’s estate for 10 albums of unreleased material over the next seven years.

De 19-jarige dochter van acteur Laurence Fishburne heeft er álles voor over om door te breken in Hollywood…

Montana is de grote ster in de nieuwste sekstape die wordt uitgegeven door Vivid Entertainment (eerder verantwoordelijk voor de verstrekking van de sekstapes van onder anderen Kendra Wilkinson en Kim Kardashian).

Voor de tiener is dit dan ook een volkomen logische stap om een carrière te starten. “Ik heb zelf gezien hoe succesvol Kim Kardashian is geworden en ik denk dat dat alles te maken heeft met de release van haar sekstape”, zo laat Montana weten aan TMZ.com. In tegenstelling tot haar voorgangsters claimt ze dan ook niet dat haar tape gestolen of illegaal verkregen is.

De film zou vanaf augustus in de winkels moeten liggen en papa Laurence is ongetwijfeld zo trots als een pauw op het ‘acteerdebuut’ van zijn spruit…

‘Angelina Jolie is heroïneverslaafde heks’

‘Angelina Jolie was ooit een heroïneverslaafde mannendievegge’. Dat schrijft Andrew Morton in zijn biografie over de actrice die morgen gepubliceerd wordt.

In het boek ‘Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography’ hangt Andrew de vuile was uit het leven van Angelina buiten. En als we hem mogen geloven dan hangt die waslijn behoorlijk vol. Lekken uit het boek zorgen zelfs voor zoveel ophef dat de publicatie ervan naar voren werd geschoven en het boek morgen al in de winkels ligt.

Volgens het onthullende boek raakte de actrice op het slechte pad door traumatische ervaringen tijdens haar kindertijd. Zo begon haar vader Jon Voight een affaire toen Angelina slechts enkele maanden oud was. Dit zorgde voor de breuk tussen haar ouders en rebels gedrag van Angelina in haar tienerjaren. Haar pubertijd werd gekenmerkt door drugsgebruik, zelfverminking en een turbulent liefdesleven. Ook haar biseksualiteit en het verlies van haar maagdelijkheid op veertienjarige leeftijd komen uitgebreid aan bod.

Het boek zal Angelina zeker niet vrolijk stemmen. De actrice wordt afgeschilderd als een berekende heks die onder andere Brad Pitt en Jennifer Aniston doelbewust uit elkaar gedreven heeft. Naast Brad zou ze ook Johnny Depp en Willem Dafoe in het vizier gehad hebben. De mannen die Angelina voor Brad veroverd heeft hebben het ook niet makkelijk gehad met de actrice. Zo zou ze eerste man Jonny Lee Miller bedrogen hebben met een vrouw en later met acteur Timothy Hutton en moest tweede man Billy Bob Thornton haar helpen clean te blijven.

De auteur van de biografie zegt in de Daily Mail dat het boek “de manier waarop mensen Angelina bekijken zal veranderen. Zelfs haar eigen zelfbeeld zal erdoor veranderen”, voorspelt de schrijver. Angelina is hier niet bang voor. De actrice heeft laten weten zich geen zorgen te maken over de details die zullen uitkomen.

Michael Jackson death: No charges for doctors

Seven doctors who treated Michael Jackson in the years before his death will not face criminal charges, US investigators have said.

However, one has been referred to California’s state medical board for prescribing drugs under an alias.

Jackson’s personal doctor Conrad Murray, who denies involuntary manslaughter, was not one of those questioned by state investigators.

He is accused of giving Jackson a lethal overdose of anaesthetic.
‘Ignoring reality’

Los Angeles police had asked Californian state investigators to look into the way the doctors had prescribed drugs.

They searched a drug database, which monitors the prescription of controlled substances, as part of their investigation.

Lawyer Brian Oxman, who is representing Jackson’s father in a wrongful death civil case, said he was “very disappointed”.

“The misuse of medications by Michael Jackson in the last years of his life was excessive and to fail to bring that to the public eye is ignoring reality,” he said.

In his civil case, Joe Jackson accuses Dr Murray of professional negligence in administering a fatal mix of sedatives to the singer.

The Drug Enforcement Agency has also stopped investigating any other doctors who treated Jackson, a spokeswoman said.

‘Nederlandse’ dochter Jackson blijft bij verhaal

Mocienne Petit Jackson blijft bij haar verhaal dat zij de dochter van Michael Jackson en Barbara Ross, de zus van Diana Ross, is. Barbara liet eerder al aan RTL Boulevard weten dat hier niets van waar is. Mocienne nam op haar beurt contact op met het programma om een reactie te geven.
“Ik heb tegen Barbara Ross gezegd dat zij, net zoals mijn ouders, niet sporen. Dat zij zo met hun kind zijn omgegaan”, laat Mocienne weten in een mail aan RTL Boulevard. Mocienne is bereid een DNA-test te doen om aan te tonen dat ze de dochter van Jackson en Ross is. “Ik als moeder zou aan elk kind een DNA-test toestaan, als het kind zou denken dat ik zijn moeder zou zijn.”

Mocienne beweert dat ze in 1975 verwekt is door de toen 17-jarige Michael Jackson. Op haar tiende zou de vrouw ontvoerd zijn, waardoor ze uiteindelijk in Soest terecht is gekomen. Na de dood van Michael Jackson stapte Mocienne naar de rechter in Los Angeles omdat ze aanspraak wil maken op de erfenis van de King of Pop. (NOVUM)

Kickbokster Simmons doodgeslagen tijdens toernooi

In de Verenigde Staten is de vrouwelijke kickbokser Adrienne Simmons doodgeslagen. De 34-jarige ging in de laatste ronde van een amateurtoernooi knock-out.
Enkele medici ontfermden zich over Simmons, die weer recht op ging zitten. Ze gooide haar handdoek in de ring en begaf zich richting de kleedkamer. Daar stortte Simmons alsnog in elkaar en moest met spoed naar het ziekenhuis afgevoerd, waar ze de volgende dag overleed.

Volgens de vriend van Simmons had de toernooiorganisatie geen adequate medische zorg ter beschikking en duurde het veel te lang voordat de ambulance ter beschikking was om zijn vriendin af te voeren.
